Editorial Sound Board – an interview with Brad Petrishen, former student newspaper editor and current MetroWest Daily News reporter

For the first-ever installment of Editorial Sound Board, the audio podcast for my first-ever blog, I spoke with former Gatepost Editor-in-Chief Brad Petrishen. Brad is now a reporter for the MetroWest Daily News in central Massachusetts, and he shared some great tips and tales on life post-j-school-graduation, what makes for an award-winning breaking news story and the oh-so-special relationship between a reporter and his/her car. Brad also shared one killer piece of advice for all student newspaper editors, which I’ll summarize as “fear not the grownups.”

You can follow Brad – a talented journalist and an all-around good guy – at @BPetrishen_MWDN.
